At Escambia Martial Arts, our Dragons Program is where confidence, discipline, and focus take root. Designed for youth ages 7 to 14, this program teaches the same foundational Kyuki-Do curriculum as our adult classes delivered in a way that’s engaging, age-appropriate, and tailored to how kids and teens learn best.
The Dragons Program is structured into three progressive stages based on belt rank and time-in-training:
Students build core martial arts skills: stances, blocks, kicks, strikes, and safe falling techniques
Focus on coordination, listening, and foundational self-defense
Life skills include respect, self-discipline, and confidence
Techniques become more complex: arm bars, pins, rolls, and Judo elements
Students refine control, power, and mental focus
Life skills expand to include perseverance, leadership, and emotional regulation
Students demonstrate mastery of prior techniques and begin mentoring others
Training includes advanced self-defense, weapons forms, and student-created techniques
Life skills emphasize responsibility, integrity, and black belt attitude
Kyuki-Do is more than just kicks and punches it’s a system that helps children realize their full potential: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our Dragons learn how to:
Build self-esteem and inner confidence
Improve focus and concentration
Strengthen social skills and teamwork
Practice patience and determination
Manage stress and emotions
Live by positive values every day
At Escambia Martial Arts, we don’t just teach martial arts we help kids grow into strong, respectful, and resilient young leaders.
