At Escambia Martial Arts, a black belt is more than a symbol of skill—it’s a testament to a journey.
A story of growth.
A legacy of character.
The individuals honored here, from 1st to 5th degree, have walked the long path of Kyuki-Do with perseverance, humility, and unwavering integrity. They are mentors, role models, and quiet leaders, those who bow first, teach with patience, and lead by example. Their rank reflects not just technical mastery, but the strength of their spirit.
Each photo below is more than a portrait it’s a symbol of commitment. Each name is a chapter in our school’s history. Each profile reveals the personal journey behind the belt: the obstacles overcome, the lessons embraced, and the transformation earned through years of disciplined training.
These are the Pillars of Honor the foundation upon which Escambia Martial Arts stands. We invite you to explore their stories, celebrate their achievements, and be inspired by the legacy they continue to build.
Michael Jones began his Kyuki-Do Martial Arts journey in December 2003 at Red Dragon Kyuki-Do under the guidance of Eric Conley. From the beginning, his training was marked by discipline, service, and a steadfast commitment to growth—qualities that would define his path both on and off the mat.
His progression through the ranks reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and leadership:

2nd Degree Black Belt – July 2011
3rd Degree Black Belt – April 2014
4th Degree Black Belt – November 2018
5th Degree Black Belt - November 2023
In addition to his Kyuki-Do accomplishments, Mr. Jones holds a Brown Belt in Hapkido and a Green Belt in Judo, further strengthening his understanding of martial arts as a complete and balanced discipline.
In March 2013, he founded Escambia Martial Arts in Cantonment, Florida, creating a school built on respect, perseverance, and community. Following a period of transition, he continued his journey under the instruction of Master Sinclair beginning in March 2017, remaining committed to the growth and integrity of Kyuki-Do.
Throughout his journey, Mr. Jones has embodied the belief that martial arts is a responsibility as much as it is a practice. He has shared his knowledge beyond the dojang, speaking to youth organizations, educators, and local businesses on self-defense, situational awareness, and personal safety. These lessons continue through workshops at Escambia Martial Arts, supported by his instructors and students.
Michael’s love for Kyuki-Do is evident in his leadership, his service, and his unwavering dedication to his students and school. He is deeply respected within the Kyuki-Do Nation and the Escambia Martial Arts community.
He extends his sincere gratitude to the Kyuki-Do Masters, Master Sinclair, and the students and families of Escambia Martial Arts. Above all, he thanks his wife, Kim Garman, and his children, Wesley, Glendine, and Michelle, for their constant love, patience, and support throughout his martial arts journey.
Jessica H. Ingram began her martial arts journey in March 2013 at Escambia Martial Arts. By the end of that same year, she was already assisting with classes—demonstrating leadership, humility, and a quiet strength even as a colored belt.
Her progression through the ranks reflects not just technical skill, but a deep-rooted perseverance:
1st Degree Black Belt – April 2016
2nd Degree Black Belt – November 2018
3rd Degree Black Belt – November 2021

Throughout her training, Ms. Ingram has faced challenges with resilience and grace. Her continued presence on the mat—as both student and instructor—is fueled by a belief that martial arts is a gift best shared. She teaches with clarity, compassion, and conviction, helping students grow not only in technique, but in confidence, character, and community.
Jessica’s love for Kyuki-Do is evident in every bow, every lesson, and every moment she invests in others. She is a pillar of Escambia Martial Arts—steadfast, inspiring, and deeply respected.

Martial Arts Journey
Danielle Reisnour began her martial arts journey in November 2021 at just 9 years old. By age 10, while holding the rank of Blue Stripe, she joined the Leadership Program, where she quickly discovered her passion for helping others grow. In 2024, she began learning how to teach and was soon invited to assist with a 4H martial arts seminar, marking one of her first opportunities to lead in the community.
Throughout 2025, Danielle continued to develop under the guidance of her instructors—Ms. Ingram, Mr. Higbe, and Master Jones—each of whom played a meaningful role in her growth. Despite facing multiple injuries on the mat, she has shown remarkable patience, self‑control, and perseverance. Her dedication was rewarded in November 2025, when she earned her 1st Degree Black Belt, promoted alongside Mr. Fires.
Danielle loves Kyuki‑Do not only because it adapts to her physical challenges, allowing her to stay active in the dojang, but also because of the strong sense of family and connection it builds. The relationships she has formed through martial arts continue to inspire her every day.
